Children who are four years old by September 1 are eligible to participate in this program. A major funding boost to military daycare institutions will be boosted by a budget plan released Thursday by House lawmakers.
As part of the $10.9 billion budget for fiscal 2022 military construction proposed by the House Relocation Committee, $213 million is earmarked for "planning and design" of future child development centers. That's 10 times more than the White House asked for in last month's budget proposal. The White House has requested $20 million for the child care center.
